Instantly Toggle Between Tabs
Do you ever find yourself working between two tabs (like a Google Doc and a research article) and getting lost in a sea of 50 open tabs? The UtilMasters Alt-Tab extension fixes this.
It brings the native operating system "Alt-Tab" behavior directly into Google Chrome.
How it Works
The extension runs silently in the background, keeping track of your tab history. When you press the keyboard shortcut, it instantly snaps you back to the tab you were just looking at. Press it again, and you snap back. It makes split-screen work obsolete.
Features
- Zero UI: It runs entirely in the background. No popups, no clutter.
- Lightning Fast: Built on Manifest V3, it uses virtually zero memory.
- Customizable Shortcut: Defaults to
Ctrl+Shift+E(orCmd+Shift+Eon Mac), but you can change it in your Chrome Keyboard Shortcuts menu. - Handles Closed Tabs: If you close your previous tab, it gracefully falls back to the next most recent one.
